I need some help with my computer, mainly the monitor I think.?

Hardyboy

So yesterday my computer was working fine, until explorer froze on me.
So rebooted it. Then turns out, the computer boots up, it displays the "Windows XP" logo with the little loading sign, but that's as far as it goes. after that, it complete goes blank/black.
If i leave it on for 5 mins, the whole computer reboots again, and it does the same process.
I tried going on Safe Mode to do a System Restore, but that didn't do much help.
It loaded but the same scenario happened, in the middle of loading, it reboots.
Is there anything I can do? The computer's not mine, and my aunt needs to use it. =(

Answer
Nuke and pave baby. Fresh Install of the OS. I think you got a nasty a** virus, not a hardware problem. The deal is saving files and you need a way to read the HD on another computer. You might be able then to scan the drive and kill the bug, might.

My Monitor has a VGA port and i have the arcade eddition

Answer
Im not entirely sure but i believe xbox does not have a specific port for the HDMI cord, which is used to transmit the Standard definition or SD to HD. I think you put the normal cables into the moniter, then there is a switch in the back of the xbox that should say SD and HD or something similar. When your plugged in, switch to the HD setting, and enjoy playing
