Several people mentioned AngelCare monitors (beepers that go off when your child stops breathing) and I was wondering where you could purchase them. How much do they normally range?

how do i get over being scared?

how do i get over being scared to leave my son in his room by him self over night? i have a baby Monitor but i still worry i wont be able to hear him, i have been sleeping in the living room with him in his play pen i know i don't need to be doing that, but i am scared. someone please help me, i need to be in the bed with my husband.

If you don't want to put him in his room alone, you don't HAVE to. Our daughter slept in a cradle near our bed for the first several months. This is something you and your husband would have to agree upon, but don't let other people make you feel bad for doing what seems right to you as a mother. I slept much better with my daughter nearby. When we did put her in her crib (which actually didn't last long before we started cosleeping), we used an AngelCare baby monitor that alarmed us if she stopped breathing. It helped me so much! You can get those monitors at Target and probably Babies R Us.
